Some confusion reigns over what Hull City manager Phil Brown has described as a “firm and substantial bid” for Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.
The confusion lies in the fact that Fulham boss Roy Hodgson claims to know nothing about it, saying, er, “I don't know anything about it”.
What Hodgson does know about, however, is that there are a bunch of high profile clubs interested in centre back Brede Hangeland. However, the player shows no signs of wanting to leave and Hodgson is confident he will stay.
Fulham are rumoured to be in for Portsmouth's Peter Crouch and Groningen's Marcus Berg as attacking options and have already had a bid turned down by Blackburn Rovers for Keith Andrews.
Ex-Liverpool and Boro player Bolo Zenden is also apparently in the frame. Mainly because he keeps telling anyone who will listen that Fulham are interested in him.
