Brazilian forward Jo has returned to David Moyes' Everton on a season long loan deal.
Jo, who was signed by Manchester City for ?18million a year ago, spent 4 months on loan with Everton last season, scoring 5 times in 12 appearances.
It is believed that Everton had been interested in signing the former CSKA Moscow striker but could not compete with City's bid for the player.
The arrival of Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers means the Brazilian appears to be surplus to requirements at Eastlands.
