29 year old Paraguay captain Paulo Da Silva has signed a three year deal with Steve Bruce's Sunderland.
The central defender who has represented his country 50 times becomes Bruce's second signing of the summer after signing Fraizier Campbell earlier in the week.
Bruce commented :
“I'm delighted to have signed a player of Paulo's experience.”
“He is captain of his country and has played at the highest level in South America, so will bring leadership qualities to our side.”
