Burnley skipper Steven Caldwell is still out with a groin strain.
Chelsea have a number of players coming back from injury including new signing Yuri Zhirkov and Joe Cole, although neither are thought to be fit enough to be part of the squad for this match.
Ancelotti may keep faith with the Chelsea eleven that beat Fulham 2-0 last time out, but Deco is pushing for a start after impressing during Chelsea's comeback against Sunderland.
Saloman Kalou will again be on the bench as Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka start upfront.
