Wigan vs Man Utd Match Preview

Nemanja Vidic returns for Manchester United as they take the short trip up to Wigan's DW Stadium.

Vidic had missed the first two matches of the season with a ankle injury, but returns alongside Wes Brown in the centre of defence. John O'Shea will be the man to make way.

After experimenting with a Rooney-Owen partnership, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will revert to playing Dimitar Berbatov in tandem with Rooney in attack.

Antonio Valencia will start on the right of midfield, with Park and Carrick in the centre.

Wigan will give Charles N'Zogbia a late fitness test as he is carrying an ankle injury. If he doesn't make it, his place in the Wigan starting eleven is likely to be taken by Jason Koumas, although loan signing Scott Sinclair is also pushing for a start.

Elsewhere, boss Roberto Martinez may revert to a 4-4-2 formation with Michael Brown being dropped in favour of striker Jason Scotland.
