Tottenham vs Birmingham City Preview

Striker Christian Benitez is likely to start for Alex McLeish's Birmingham City as they travel to current league leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

Benitez hasn't yet started a league match for Birmingham, but with Cameron Jerome nursing an ankle injury, the Ecuador striker will partner James McFadden in attack.

Also back in contention for Birmingham is ex-Liverpool defender Gregory Vignal who has recovered from a hip problem and is set to replace Stuart Parnaby on the left of the defence.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is likely to name an unchanged side from the one that won 2-1 at West Ham.

With goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes still out with a groin injury, Carlo Cudicini retains his place in goal.

Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe will again be preferred to Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch in attack, despite both scoring in Spurs' midweek Carling Cup match.
