Woodgate Suffers Injury Setback

Tottenham Hotspur central defender Jonathan Woodgate has suffered a fresh setback in his bid to return from a longstanding groin injury.

Woodgate hasn't played for Spurs this season and Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp confirmed :

“Woodgate's nowhere near playing again.”

“He went to see a specialist again and he just can't train. We haven't got to the bottom of the injury at all, what's causing him discomfort.”

Better news for Spurs, however, is the return to fitness of fellow centre back Michael Dawson. Dawson had been out since April with a persistent achilles injury.
