Latest Transfer Rumours

Well, the transfer window is open and this, naturally, gives the tabloids carte blanche to make stuff up. Here's a few of the tabloid transfer rumours from this weekend.

The Daily Mirror are suggesting that Chelsea will bid ?36m for Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg and that AC Milan are also interested in the striker. Can't see Wolfsburg selling until the summer at the earliest, but then, what do I know.

While it's clear that West Ham could do with a striker, the papers are disagreeing over who their targets are. The Daily Mail is speculating on a loan move for Zenit's Sergey Kornilenko; while The Daily Star are hedging their bets by suggesting Marlon Harewood, or James Beattie, or Eidur Gudjohnson.

In the ‘he's-not-for-sale' department, The Sun are running with the story that despite interest from Aston Villa and Celtic, Robbie Keane will be staying at Spurs. Presumably, this is because Harry Redknapp has said ‘Robbie Keane will be staying at Spurs'.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has also come up and said Kenwyne Jones won't be sold. There seems to be a lot of interest in the striker, with Birmingham City and Arsenal among the names connected with the play.
