Abdoulaye Faye could miss out for Tony Pulis' Stoke City, while David Dunn is missing for Blackburn Rovers with a calf injury.
Dunn's absence means that Rovers boss Sam Allardyce will mean Gael Givet continues in an unfamiliar role in midfield.
New signing Yildiray Basturk is not match fit, although Australia international Vince Grella has overcome a thigh problem and is set for a place in the squad.
Nikola Kalinic will continue in a lone striker's role, with Jason Roberts on the bench.
Stoke manager Tony Pulis will reorganise his back line if Faye misses out, with Robert Huth moving back to his preferred centre back position and Andy Wilkinson coming in at right back.
Striker Ricardo Fuller could be recalled to the starting line-up, with Tuncay the man most likely to drop to the bench.
Also hopeful of a recall is long throw specialist Rory Delap, who could replace Glenn Whelan in the Stoke City midfield.
