The Daily Mail are right in the thick of the transfer speculation today, suggesting that Manchester City will bid ?24m for versatile Aston Villa midfielder James Milner. Apparently, Chelsea also want to sign the player so expect that price to rise.
The same newspaper are also throwing around a lot of names in association with Alex McLeish's Birmingham City, including Rangers Kris Boyd, Carlton Cole, Charles N'Zogbia, Bobby Zamora, uncle tom cobbley and all.
The Daily Mirror are also confident of a link between Birmingham City and Carlton Cole, but suggest that an ?8m bid has already been turned down by West Ham.
