Birmingham vs Blackburn Rovers Preview

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish is unlikely to make any changes to a side that has been in impressive form recently.

With veteran Lee Carsley out with a back problem, McLeish is set to name the same eleven that beat West Ham 1-0 last time out.

Still sidelined for Birmingham are long term abstentees David Murphy, Garry O'Connor, Martin Taylor and Teemu Tainio.

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce will not risk midfielder David Dunn as the player recovers from a calf problem. Also sidelined is Vince Grella, who has a thigh injury.

Keith Andrews is set to start in place of Grella for Allardyce's Rovers side with Brett Emerton also featuring in midfield.

Striker Benni McCarthy is likely to drop to the bench after starting Blackburn's match against Hull City, with Franco Di Santo and Jason Roberts starting in attack.
