Manchester City FC have reported a loss of ?92.6million in the financial year finishing May 31st, 2009.
Though some way behind the biggest ever loss - ?140m by Chelsea in 2005, these figures do not include City's summer transfer spending.
City's chief financial office, Graham Wallace commented:
“The financial results reflect a period of rapid change at the club, the result of long-term planning and investment by the Board and our owners, to create a sustainable business in the future.
“We have always said that this transformation will take a number of years and these figures reflect that.”
