Ex-Newcastle, Ipswich and England manager Bobby Robson has died of cancer at the age of 76.
Robson, who had been battling cancer for a number of years, died at his home in North East England with his family around him.
Although as a player, Robson was capped 20 times for England in a career that saw him play for Fulham and West Brom, it was as a manager that he was best known.
In a 13 year career at Ipswich Town, he took this small club to within a whisker of the First Division title and won both the UEFA Cup and FA Cup, before moving on to manager England.
As national coach, he took England to the quarter finals of the 1986 World Cup and the semi-finals of the 1990 World Cup, before moving on to manage PSV, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon and Porto.
His final managerial job was at Newcastle United where he achieved 3 top four finishes in 4 seasons.
