According to The Sun, Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is in for Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin, having tried and failed to prise Richard Dunne from Manchester City.
Let's hope for Portsmouth's sake that it isn't true as that will leave them with a squad of about five players!
Bruce has, according to The Times, been back to Wigan to try to sign Lee Cattermole, a player who is also of interest to Liverpool and Spurs.
Talking of Spurs, both them and Everton are after Inter striker Victor Obinna. No, me neither.
Elsewhere, the Mail have reported that Hull have turned down a ?6m offer for Michael Turner from Liverpool. Apparently, they are holding out for ?12million! Words fail me.
