Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill is out of the Hull City squad that will visit a Burnley side who may be missing a first choice ‘keeper of their own.
Burnley number 1, Brian Jensen, will be given “every chance” to be fit by manager Owen Coyle after the ‘keeper suffered ankle ligament damage during Burnley's match with Wigan. Diego Penny is standing by should the Dane not make it.
Still missing for Burnley, however, are Martin Paterson, Chris McCann and Jay Rodriguez, although defender Stephen Jordan has overcome a thigh strain and is in contention.
For Hull, medial ligament damage to goalkeeper Boaz Myhill will keep the player out for a number of weeks. Hull boss Phil Brown will have to decide whether the veteran Tony Warner or Matt Duke deputises.
Striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink looks set to keep his place upfront, although Khamel Ghilas is pushing for a starting berth.
Young American striker Jozy Altidore will be considered, despite arriving late for his side's last match and being fined by the club.
Midfielder Jimmy Bullard has a knock and Hull boss Phil Brown will make a late decision on whether to give the player a spot on the bench.
